Working together to protect the oceans: join NatureXpairs in Nice for UNOC3!
The United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC 3) will be held in Nice, co-hosted by France and Costa Rica, with the aim of accelerating global action for the conservation and sustainable use of the oceans.
Bringing together governments, scientists, NGOs, the private sector and local communities, UNOC 3 will aim to strengthen the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 14 through an ambitious ‘Nice Ocean Action Plan’.
NatureXpairs, which is involved in the development and implementation of international ocean projects, will be hosting a multi-partner event in the ‘La Baleine’ green zone. Co-organised with the French Office for Biodiversity, this side-event entitled ‘Building Bridges For Ocean Conservation: The Power Of Cooperation’ will be held on 10 June at 10am in the Green Zone, on the ‘Beyond Borders Ocean Literacy and Conservation’ pavilion.
Bringing together a wide range of partners, it will highlight the key role of international and regional cooperation in strengthening the management of marine protected areas, meeting the 30×30 target, and tackling the post-2030 challenges linked to climate and biodiversity.
The programme for the event will shortly be available here.
